Return to Prophetic DreamsI see Regina and myself at our house and a great wind suddenly comes up. It stirred up a great deal of dust and blew away everything that was loose. After it passed through, although things were in great disorder, no damage had been done. Things were, in fact, cleaner as all the dirt had been blown off.
Although this dream is quite short it is very significant and offers a great deal of insight into our current time.
Right now, we are in a time when everything is stirred up. It is as if a great wind has blown over our lives, our country and the world. It came about suddenly, in very unexpected ways and as a result, many were surprised, even shocked.
We can see that some things are indeed being “blown away,” being lost. We may have liked many of these things even been attached to some of them. And many people have experienced great losses. Jobs have been lost, homes have been lost, people have had to move to other states, some have even lost loved ones.
The wind is exposing things that were hidden; “dirt” is clearly seen, long buried things are coming to light. There are so many things moving about right now it is difficult to see clearly or know exactly what is ahead.
There will be a time of picking up, straightening up and reordering our lives after being blown around but, the dream says that overall, we, and the world, will be in better condition after this time has passed.
Much of what was buried needed to be exposed. The world will be “cleaner” at the end of this process. We’ll find that there are some unexpected benefits to having gone through this time.
TRUST GOD! For some this year is a time of great upheaval and great loss. Psalm 30:5 tells us that, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Many people will find themselves in new settings, new jobs, new homes, living in different states as a result of the unexpected challenges of this time. This dream reassures us that “what Satan intends for harm, God will use for good.” (Gen 15:20) This is a call for us to put our trust in God and not be overwhelmed by outside circumstances and not to try to determine what the stirring up, the turmoil, means while it is in process. We are to follow the Biblical instruction to: “5Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding ;6in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Prv 3:5-6) Let’s pray for freedom from fear, for peaceful resolution to current conflicts knowing that God is behind the scenes. He loves us and He has our best destiny in His heart. “11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jer 29:11) Things coming to an end also means New Beginnings! This is the start of a new season, a new time, new possibilities, new friends, new adventures, with new opportunities to grow in our love for God and for one another! Trust God!
