Return to Prophetic DreamsI am floating in the air and looking down at a house. Part of the roof becomes transparent and I find myself looking at a figure seated at a desk in front of a computer. The figure resembled a man but there were differences; I knew I was looking at a demon who was unaware of being observed.
I watched as the demon built a basic website that offered the "opportunity to connect with other like-minded people" and exchange messages. I saw a reply come in from a man who was interested in social justice who asked if he was one of the "like-minded people." The demon replied that the man was indeed one of the like-minded and they began a series of messages in which the demon began to focus not on social justice but to emphasize the many social injustices in the country. As the exchange continued over days the messages from the man became angrier and angrier as he too focused on the injustices and wrongs. Eventually the demon encouraged the man to recruit others and take violent action to protest, to riot, to force attention to these issues. The man did just that and a series of angry, violent protests/riots followed.
I saw that the demon was involved in many, many other similar message exchanges with people who responded to the basic "connect with other like-minded people" invitation in his website. Anyone who replied was told they qualified as the invitation was just a snare, a way to establish a connection. After someone replied, the demon began to gather information in the message exchanges to see where the person might be vulnerable. Some were involved in good causes, like the man above, which could be distorted into violence. Some people were vulnerable in sex, or gambling or substance abuse; it didn't matter, the demon continued to try to find an area, an opening to exploit.
God gave me a peak through the normally opaque covering over current demonic activity. The dream showed me how the enemy works diligently to twist our thinking and to redirect our thoughts toward the negative. And, that they keep trying new tactics; if one doesn’t work, they look for a different area of weakness in our lives. The Holy Spirit showed me that the demonic strategy is to agitate and exploit our vulnerabilities to get people focused on fear, anger, injustice or fall into sin.
1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour.”
The good news is that there is a solution! Whenever you feel an urge, a prompting, that moves your thoughts toward fear, anger, or sin you can choose (with the help of the Holy Spirit) to shift your focus to Jesus, to the Prince of Peace. Jesus is the antidote to the poisoned words and urging of the demonic realm. Negative thoughts and temptations are a call for you to pray and to enter into a deeper relationship with the Lord. Immerse yourself in the things of God; reading the Bible, worship, praise and giving thanks for all you have and all Jesus has done for you!
